Resource kit now available!

We know how busy teachers are with marking and planning, so we have done the preparation for you! The resource kit for the lesson What is in my Bread? can now be signed out of the Port Interpretive Centre. The kit includes everything necessary to conduct an engaging and informative lesson. There are a variety of grain products for students to sample (crackers, pasta etc.), grains (barley, flax),  pictures of different wheat and barley grains, shovels, sieves, buckets, the book From Wheat to Bread and the grain sorting worksheet. Introducing the Learning Gateway to the Northwest…

In my role at the Port Authority, I support use of the Learning Gateway by preparing the contents of lessons, co-teaching and collaborating with teachers. Before starting with the Prince Rupert Port Authority as Community Outreach Coordinator last December, I taught Humanities and English in both the K-12 and Adult Education systems in the Vancouver district.
